My Jacks to Open machine was operating perfectly....then while powered on, but not being played, it began making strange noises. Tilt was flashing, match "snap" would sound......now whenever I turn it on....zeros flash in score display, game plays random sounds, and will not set up for game play. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Check all connectors for every board, especially the power supply. Pull each off, check for corrosion or discoloration (burn). If clean, reseat all plugs firmly. If the game was working and suddenly changes, the obvious loose stuff is a good place to start.

pulled and reseated all connectors...no visible burn indications...machine still flashes zeroes on score display and makes random sounds. Getting past my abilities now....might be time to call in the pros!

Have you repinned any of the connectors? If not I would suggest repinning the power supply connectors and the interconnect harness at a bare minimum. Check you're getting consistent voltages coming off your power supply. What work has been done on this machine (if any)?
