Jacks Open 3 ball play (resized).jpg
#1 2 years ago

Hi there,

Just picked up a Jacks Open and it has a couple of issues I’m hoping to sort out.

1) Drop targets work perfectly in 3 ball mode, but when switched to 5 ball they aren’t resetting properly (I.e. when you knock down the first pair of jacks the targets don’t reset).

2) Also, in 3 ball mode hitting the top right rollover also unlights the top left rollover and vice versa, but it works as it should in 5 ball.

It’s my first EM so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You might get more eyes on your EM questions if you post them in the EM tech forum:

The manual says that in 3 ball mode the pair of jacks is spotted so you shouldn't need to hit the pair of jacks to advance:

In 5 ball mode you need to get the pair of jacks first. If there's an issue with the drop target switch behind either jack the game won't recognize that the jacks have been hit and won't advance.

If your royal flush works in a 3 ball game you know that the red jack is good so the issue would likely be with the black jack. If the royal flush doesn't work the issue is likely with the red jack.

Also, in a 3 ball game hitting the heart or club awards both the heart and club.
