Good luck with the rest of the restoration , Looking good so far .. I am in the middle of my second complete playfield resto , a Gottlieb Surf champ ( https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/surf-champ-slow-playfield-restoration#post-4720357 ) and I can tell you , that your most valuable weapon is patience !
A small detail I noticed in your photos. The Gottlieb logo on the top , the area where the letters manuf. by and the date are printed should be pure white.
Since your are restoring all the white areas back to real white , this area should be looked after too.

While a restoration is going on we tend to look for imperfections with a magnifying glass , my self included ! in the end no one notices them great work and attention to detail !

Quoted from Silverstreak02:

Originally the game had that antique smell. After cleaning and painting it is 90% gone. The baking soda is a precaution in case it starts to smell old again.

On the contrary .. I just love that antique smell . It takes me back to my old pinball playing days
