Quoted from 27dnast:I am searching for an original printed Jackbot Instruction card. Anyone have one in good condition that they'd part with?
This?

6525F15F-D8F7-4523-A449-443A82027943 (resized).jpegMark my words.... This pin will be in the next wave of titles that will be going up in price. With new decals/plastics available and it being a fun title, demand will be there for it
Quoted from frenchmarky:Can you point this out exactly in the pic? I can't find what is different in your pic vs. their b&w artwork of the mirrored parts which is posted on their website. Other than that, seeing various owners' pics of it now it looks way better than it was sounding.
Agreed! Jackbot is one of my favs so when it finally comes back home from route I’m buying one
Quoted from Pinrookie:I wish this game can have a real slot machine like WHO DUNNIT.
Nah. Less is more on this pin. One of my favorites!
Quoted from midcoastsurf:50051 REV. 1.1H
Sound REV. 1.0
SY. 3.77 8/14/98
Umm… Where could I get a copy of that 1.1H?
Quoted from midcoastsurf:Are you saying the programmer updated the game code 3 years after the game was released? Which I believe didn’t happen/was rare since these were location games meant to be forgotten.
Yes sir!
Quoted from midcoastsurf:Here’s a conversation from this morning with Larry DeMar. Here is what he says about the 1.1H rom and permission to distribute the rom file:
"H" is the Home version. I don't remember Jack*Bot specifically, but it puts the game in "Free Play Only", It probably still shows credits, and there's an "Install Home" preset that changes some other things to my liking (If you factory set, then install-home, then look at which settings aren't at default you'll see what the changes are. Probably something like "Show Time & Date" and "Special scores Extra Ball". It also has a cheat for Casino Run. Push and hold the buy-in button until you hear a sound. Yes, you may distribute it. That is my handwriting on the chip label.
It may also have a later operating system than any Jack*Bot. I used to make builds of new versions for my games to make sure that the new changes didn't brake anything that we weren't focusing on. Actually found a bizarre bug that had been in the system for years that showed up in Twilight Zone on one of my updates.
I suggest that you see if "Install Home" is there, and create a list of the settings that get changed. I'd like to see the list too.
When you go into test mode, the game shows the Game version and the system version. I'd be interested to hear what the system versions were in the 2 versions. I suspect they're not the .01 or .02 apart you may see in regular revisions of a game.”
KICKASS!!!
Quoted from midcoastsurf:Here’s a topper that came with my early prototype machine. This hangs above the backbox so it looks like her leg is hanging off the side. It’s printed on thick foam board. I wonder how many of these were made and if arcades actually used them?
[quoted image]
Do you have any way to just scan the front? I’d LOVE to put that on mine and I’ll add the foam lol

Found ‘em!
Anybody know if these arejust glued down, or is there accompanying hardware?
Just a #6 3/8 screw?
No glue
Hey so about a year ago someone had purchased a proto Jackbot that had “newer” software. I think one of the features was to press and hold the cheat button to get into Casino Run immediately (think TZ LITZ cheat). Was that ROM version ever saved for others to put on their Jackbots?
Quoted from frenchmarky:I never thought Casino Run was really difficult enough to warrant a cheat. I wouldn't mind a Megavisor cheat though, just to play it after a too-long drought of not being able to get it.
There could be more things in the code that were adjusted/fixed. Who knows if it’s not distributed
Quoted from mkdud:Please help identify these molex plugs in my Jack Bot harness if you can.
Were they used for factory testing of the playfield? My game is working fine, and these do not look like they were ever used. Thanks in advance, mk [quoted image][quoted image]
I wouldn’t worry about them
Quoted from PinballerCCr:Has anyone had an issue with the Moving Target Assembly not dropping fully when the Visor is opened? Mine usually stays slightly raised and makes it difficult to lock a ball. Other times, the ball actually gets hung up on the top of the assembly and I have to lift up the machine to shake down. I have cleaned the target assembly and the installation looks correct. Anything that can help drop the targets further down? Appreciate any insights...thanks!!
There’s gotta be a way to lower that assembly a little bit

Hopeful bump! Any new code is good code!
