I have no idea if it is a re-import or sample, bought it 15 years ago, how can I tell? Also my arrows are white
I dont think they sell them for Jackbot, but not 100% sure, probably something you would have to get made.
Quoted from Chippewa-Pin:Could yours be a re-import or a sample?
I guess there are some unique things with Jack*Bot:
1. Some used WPC-95 board sets
2. Some have colored arrow inserts (sample pins I believe) and some are white (regular production pins)
Also, could be a difference with pins that were exported
There were only 44 made after mine, im#2384, and there was 2428 made. Also mine is a domestic WPC-S. Maybe they stopped the black edging in the later models.
Quoted from Les73gtx:Here is my fine example.

Les did yours come with black rubber on the upper playfield? Or is that something you did yourself? My upper playfield is all white rubber.
Quoted from Les73gtx:well looks like I have one that was made after your numbers end .... I will get a better picture tomorrow as my phone was almost dead ... 2461 I need to do more research on this now .... lol
20160320_015905_(resized).jpg
I was going off the "Internet Pinball Machine Database" and it says production: 2428 (confirmed). Maybe thats just for WPC-S? Haha yeah yours was made the day after mine, pretty kool.
Quoted from Chippewa-Pin:Mine is 1 day before yours and 113 numbers behind. I have the black trim on my cabinet. Maybe they simply switched to doing this towards the end of the build. Who has earlier serial numbers with the black trim. Maybe we can figure out when they started doing this.
JB_sticker_(resized).jpg
Yours was manufactured before mine (but on the same day), and mine doesnt have black trim, the mystery continues hahahaha!!! Does yours have black rubber on upper playfield??
Quoted from Les73gtx:Yes Ipdb.com is also where I found the information but I do not understand how that can be accurate when I was able to find this .... from http://www.ipsnd.net/
link to the Jack*bot entry
http://www.ipsnd.net/View.aspx?id=3619
Yeah and it says "your serial matches format of a production game" Then you look at main page and it says Production Run 2428. There is also a guy on the page that is in the 2700's.
Quoted from Les73gtx:I mean unless I am missing how they numbered them and how they count ...
Untitled_(resized).png
Hahahaha Im right above you Les. They still havent verified mine.
Quoted from Chippewa-Pin:What's the earliest SN someone has? Maybe they started at 1,000 for some reason?
Earliest on IPDB is 53351100043
If anyone ever has the same problem replacing red mini posts on upper playfield, I first used a hobby knife, cut off as much of the adhesive seal as I could all the way around the post, then twisted it off with vice grips, it was easy and worked great. Hahaha why would they put glue and a screw!!!.................lol come on now people!!!!
I got a new one for you guys, does anyone else have two different colors on cabinet, I just noticed that I only have yellow and red on the right side, and the left side is yellow and gold. Never really took notice to it because the yellow and gold side is always facing the wall and never seen. Thought it was "cabinet fade" but seeing as Ive always had it with the right side exposed it doesnt really make any sense.
Quoted from shlockdoc:Going to check a jackbot out. What are the wear spots to look for? Any other things to look for? Thanks.
Make sure you check allllllllllllll the plastics, it is really hard to find replacements. Make sure the visor goes up and down with no restrictions, and also make sure the ramp lifts up and down when "double or nothing" is selected.
Quoted from shlockdoc:Got the Jackbot - I need one plastic , the long one to the right of the up/down ramp if anyone has one. I can also use a front decal, this one is faded. Playfield minty, Ramps nice. Thanks for the advice above.
Congrats!! It really is a great game, try Marco Specialties for plastic your looking for, worst case senario you may have to reproduce the piece yourself.
If you cant find the plastic, let me know. I can take mine off, scan it, and send the scan to your email. Then you will just need to get plastic, cut it, and drill holes.
Quoted from Les73gtx:Ok I am going on record here ... To say that there was never 2 different color schemes .... all machines that I have been looking at over the last two weeks (including mine) have fade! I can see at different locations where the red color has faded and then you get to the edge of a boil or trim or hinge and there is the red. This is not limited to JackBots either, I was able to look over quite a few Williams and Bally games from the late 80's early 90's and they all have some fading / bleaching of color. On my particular JackBot machine I was doing some cleaning, (after I reading this and other posts about color fade and different color schemes) and realized that the front Coin door and the left back box does indeed have some fading. The coin door front still has some red on it but while cleaning with a damp cloth would actually get a slight red on it if I rubbed too hard. The back box left side looks exactly like all the "alternate" color schemes with only the yellow and gold on it. The right side back box is beautiful full color with only a few little edge scratches. There is no way they would put one color scheme on one side and a different one on the other of the same box .... unless this was a Friday at 5 build that was finished on Monday ... lol I took out 2 bolts in the back box to confirm my suspicions, mine is fade for sure as there was still red "where the sun don't shine"
That makes sense, only reason I thought it was alternate color was that registration site that I signed up on. Dosen't seem like they are too knowledgable!! hahahaha ( made it on a Friday and finished on a Monday) too funny!!!!
Quoted from John1210:Guys I'm after a set of Jack bot plastics. I recently acquired one and it is in good cond aside from a number plastics which need replacing. Having trouble finding anything aside from sling plastics. Do most pinbot plastics match up?
Ideas and leads are appreciated. Thanks guys.cby the way this is one fun game.
Sorry but they are impossible to find, you could always recreate them yourself.

Awesome find!!!!
Quoted from pbu:Might as well show off mine: Pinballbulbs light kit, Titan Bands, Mirror Blades, and a Super Skill Shot Shooter Dice plunger.
Where did you get the mirror blades?
Quoted from Giulio:Hello there, very nice job with this broken plastic, it look super quality... I'm in the process of buying a Jackbot (so hope to join the club very soon..). The one I'm buyng got a broken plastic, the blue long one on the left to casino run, does anyone know a source for replacing this plastic ? I searched but did not find one, perhpaps do someone's got a nice vector scan of this Jackbot plastic ?
Many thanks, I love this pinball...
Jackbot plastics dont seem to exist anymore lol, impossible to find. Im out of town working right now or I could scan mine for you. Keep bugging me every couple weeks and I will send you a scan when I get home.
Quoted from AudioHaven:Thanks! Do you have a preference between Jack*Bot and Pin*Bot?
I find Jackbot is better, Bride of Pinbot goes well with Jackbot or Pinbot.
Quoted from Giulio:I will join this club shortly. Proudly.
In the meantime... Rick at pps, as I asked for Jackbot plastics:
"We are about to run them using the original WMS artwork, so should be in the next 2-3 months to be available.
Please let others know.
Thanks,
Rick".
Awesome!!!
Quoted from JONESDS:Bump - wanted to see if anybody could tell me how the visor is mounted to the ramp from my question above.
Thanks!
I will take some pics when I get home from work.
Quoted from MustangPaul:That's the point, it's unnecessary but it's FUN to do. It was dirty and old looking, why leave it that way? I've got the time and like working with my hands being creative. If you think this kind of stuff is work I'd hate to see the condition of your games. I've been in the hobby for over 5 years, I think I know where to get the posts.
Just so you know the post on the mini pf are glued and screw, they are a bitch to replace LOL!!! I had to take out screw then score the bottom of the post with a hobby knife a couple times, then vicegrips and gently twist the post to get it off, LOL good luck, im glad I only had to replace 1.
Quoted from nasco62:Happy for a pm on any leads, this is what I am dealing with..... looks like Edward Scissor hands has been playing this
Yes you can buy the cabinet art, Ive seen it for sale. Let me do some digging around I will post the link
Quoted from nasco62:Happy for a pm on any leads, this is what I am dealing with..... looks like Edward Scissor hands has been playing this
Its was retrorefurbs that carried the full cabinet decals for Jackbot, it doesn’t look like their available anymore, sorry man.
When I flashed my colordmd it took 3 different usb sticks before it actually worked, just a heads up.
Quoted from MustangPaul:OK inserted drive, held down USB button till it started to flash then it went out and the PROG started to flash and INIT was on constant, DONE was off, STATUS was off and dmd was blank. After 10 minutes none of those lights changed. Now what?
Reset dmd, unplug the dmd power source to reset, your going to need a different usb drive, the one you have is not compatible with the dmd, I had the same problem, luckily I had 3 already, worked on the 3rd one I tried.
Quoted from orangegsx:Snuck it in the breakroom at work untill i finish a few things in my basement. Will look great after a quick cleaning. Only issue I see is my lift ramp seems to be binding. It fires repeatedly and stays up.
[quoted image]
It just needs a little wd-40, or some other type of lubricant on the mechanism I had the same exact thing happen to mine, I used wd-40 and its been running flawlessly for last 3 years
Quoted from Gnatty:You realize WD 40 is flammable right? There are other options for lubricant in that situation where some is needed.
Yes I realize, I only dabbed a small amount with a q-tip, then rubbed with clean q-tip. Like I said it has been operating flawlessly for the last 3 years, and it gets played daily. I also didn’t have to take it apart to fix. End of the day up to you I guess.
Quoted from Spiderpin:That's a big improvement they sure needed replacing. I just replaced my pop bumpers too. After looking at yours mine still had some life in them. Lol. I had no problem with bulbs touching caps. Very Strange.
[quoted image]
My bulbs touch caps as well, and they are original pop bumpers and caps, change the bulbs to led and you wont have to worry about caps burning.
