Quoted from HowardHurtz:

The earlier productions of JB have different eyes that do not catch the ball as well which is most likely why you are getting frustrated with rejects. The later production games have scoops instead of saucers for the eyes. Supposedly, the eyes were redesigned because the saucers from the pinbot design don't work as well with the newer higher powered flippers.

This is exactly what's going on with your game Spacemanrats.

Regarding color DMD... which looks best on Jack*Bot, LED or LCD? Or, do you prefer to stick with the standard orange DMD?

I generally like the LCD with smooth feature on for other games, but I wonder how that would translate with the rather basic animations of Jack*Bot.

My friend just got a Color DMD LCD for his Jack Bot and put it on the high-res smooth setting and I was amazed at how good it looked on Jack Bot. I normally go with Dots XL on all my games, but I would consider the High Res for Jack Bot. It suits the animations really well IMO.

Quoted from HowardHurtz:

Have you folks ever received a special from the slot machine?

I think I got the slot machine Special once when I owned JB. It's gotta be a rare occurrence, as I owned it for about 3 or 4 years and played it quite a bit.
