Looking to pick up a very nice example next weekend. Anyone here put together an LED list?

#774 3 years ago
Quoted from HowardHurtz:

Unfortunately I don't have a list for you, but just wanted to comment that this game really dazzles when properly done up with LED--probably more than most WPC games. I recommend you stick with cool white for this one.

Thanks ! Plan to do led OCD for the inserts , I usually like “sunlight white “ but I can see cool looking good on this one

In the club ... super clean jack-bot . Supposedly HUO. Left side has some fade and a nick on the head , right side looks new . Cabinet and playfield super clean . I did notice the visor does not go up ... bank goes down and the plastic under the visor appears to slide forward but the visor stays down. Hopefully and easy fix .

Will do ! Plastic seems in great shape game looks basically new. Motor works and bank goes down from what I can tell looking in manual the bank actuates and arm so I assume that is not connected .

Found the issue , this pin came out . Luckily it was still in the game under the ramp .

So here is my other issue , I need to understand how the ramp works . The coil the unlocks the ramp has a bad transistor so I will get that replaced . But I manually actuate it to test , what makes the ramp go back down after it unlatches ? Is it supposed to be gravity? If so mine is binding. Here is a video .

Yea thats what I thought, will figure out why it's sticking. I dont think anyone has maintained this machine in 25 years. Its surprisingly clean given that fact. Once we are done with it its gonna look almost new!

Where the 5 flashers are ? Looks cool.

Where did u find this pic? Can't find this decal anyplace. Maybe it's just a one-off thing.

From a previous sale in the archives

JB is the best of all the sys11 games. That's all.

Quoted from Pinrookie:

I believe you are talking about pinbot

Playfield between Jack*bot and pinbot are almost identical
Both are good games. However, between Jack*bot and Pinbot. I will pick Jack*bot every time.

Pretty sure he is trolling

Quoted from HowardHurtz:

Looks like you have one of the early sample games. Please update and let us know how "sticky" the eyes are as we are told the early sample games are prone to excessive rejects. My late normal production game with the scoop style eyes has been very sassy with the rejects as of late as if the game has become angry at my mediocre maintenance habits and is fighting back!

wow really? How can you tell? They seemed reasonable when I played it.

#829 3 years ago

Interesting ... yeah they do appear to be angled plates . I’d be interested to get a better look at the curved ones .

Are these “sample” games more or less desired?

#831 3 years ago

Got it put back together, interestingly it rejected my first several shots but seems more receptive now.

I do notice two holes in the playfield but I dont think anything else was ever screwed into them near the eyes, if someone could give me a good shot under their visor I would appreciate it.

I will say this game is super clean, supposed to be HUO and after the shop job it looks and plays amazing!

#840 3 years ago

So I have my locks working well on my “sample machine “ I had to lower the moving stand up target assembly a hair also put some sorbathane foam on the top part of the angled bracket . Clean shots seem to lock rattlers are 50/50.

#844 3 years ago

Lol yeah for some reason mine seems to reject more during casino run still needs a little tweaking left one slight less receptive .

Wondering if someone here can do me a favor? Can you run a solonoid test and tell me if two flashers under jackpots visor go off every time a solenoid fires?

I am troubleshooting and issue and this has me wondering about a short.

After further testing only LEDs do this .

#859 3 years ago
Quoted from frenchmarky:

LEDS only do the blink it in those two lamp positions and not others? I don't have any LED flashers so can't test it.

Seems to be all the ones near the visor .

#860 3 years ago

someone with a jackpot must have LED flashers?

#862 3 years ago
Quoted from Kare9:

Would the OCD LED boards fix this?

Nope it doesn’t connect to the flashers . I just want to know if it’s normal or I have a problem .

#864 3 years ago
Quoted from frenchmarky:

Are ya using the exact same LED flashers there as in the rest of the game and with same number of LEDs in the lamp? Maybe it's an issue with how old they are or what brand. Or like a 'ghosting' type of thing maybe? But I only know about that regarding 6 v standard leds.

Yes same !

#866 3 years ago
Quoted from HowardHurtz:

Pretty sure mine has LED flashers in that location. I will check for you but might not have an opportunity for a day or two.
If they are the flashers that I am thinking of they have an unusual trait in that when I shut the game off they glow pretty bright for several seconds after--only noticeable in the dark. I don't notice other flashers glowing like that but maybe the others are all incan.

Yep its only the two in the back left and right visor. Makes sense if they glow when you shut it off that you have the same "issue" which would be good haha.

#868 3 years ago
Quoted from frenchmarky:

If you aren't using the maximum brightness flashers available you could switch to two of those and leave regular lamps in the other two sockets. Or maybe use the four flashers and add a resistor to the sockets in series with the leds or in parallel (so resistor sucks up a little juice similar to when you tried combo of led+lamp and didn't have any blink) but I'm not an expert on that. Otherwise it doesn't sound like it's a problem with the game itself if everything else is working fine, probably just quirk with those lamps being on a little bit different kind of circuit than all the other flashers or that they're the only flashers on that circuit.

frenchmarky yeah so a actually as soon as I put one incandescent the problem is gone so since each side of the visor has two I have one led and one incandescent. Odd for sure but works for now .

Quoted from HowardHurtz:

I have small tower LED flashers in both eyes. Both flash during a solenoid test. I tried a couple of different solenoids. Interestingly, they flash even when the solenoids don't fire due to the cab door being open. As best I could tell the other flashers on my game, which are a mix of LED and incan, do not flash during the test.

Thanks

Same as mine
