Wondering if anyone knows a good place to buy led mod for Jackbot? And if there is anything else you need to switch it over to led's.

#2 8 years ago

Bought a cointaker kit last week for my jackbot. Basically plug and play. Mine is on route and this morning I got a call from someone wanting to buy it. Makes a huge difference.

#3 8 years ago

Ive had my Jackbot for 15 years and would never think of selling it. I still play it and baby it as if It was brand new lol. Currently getting a Bride of Pinbot retstored and upgraded to 2.0 to add to my collection. Just looking for other peoples opinions on the led mod.

My opinion is you have had and enjoyed this game for 15 years, so why pour $200 and a bunch of blinding LEDs into the game? It's not going to make you like it more, and Jackbot looks just fine stock. LEDs in the GI won't do it any favors either. Have you spent the past 15 years saying to yourself "If only this game was more LEDed I'd love it more, cause it just isn't bright and white enough?"

Didn't think so.

#5 8 years ago

I added a few leds to my jackbot. I think Jackbot is one of those pins that looks better with incandesents.

#6 8 years ago

Hahaha very good point CrazyLevi, ive just seen a couple of them with the led's and thought it looked pretty nice. Thats why im on here looking for people opinions. I didnt know it was 200$ for mod. Thank you for your feed back everyone.

#7 8 years ago

I think it's a personal choice for everyone. Mine has LED's in it... I love it... I think it makes a huge difference. But to each their own.

Here's a picture of what mine looks like.

If you want any more pictures or video, let me know.

See now that's a nice lookin' Jackbot!

That being said it's totally reversible. It's not really a "mod," you are just replacing all of the light bulbs with LEDs. Totally up to you.

#11 8 years ago

Wow! It deffinatly looks a lot sharper, just not sure if I want to spend 200$

#12 8 years ago

Also do any of you Jackbot owners know a good place for parts? Will post a pic of what im looking for.

67cutlass that would be awesome to see more pics and video of your led Jackbot.

Not the best pics in the world. Just took them quickly. I don't know if it would cost $200 to LED. If you just bought some blue/red/white LED's and placed them in certain areas, it would do wonders.

Haha...Looking at the pics... I have a center light out.

If you did specific area, let me know.

#17 8 years ago

Here's a quick youtube video I just took

#18 8 years ago

Thanks for the pics, your Jackbot looks great! Why are you selling it? I have so many good memories with mine and now that my kids are old enough to play it, im sure they will also have the same memories. I could never part with it lol. #Hoarder

It's a fun game for sure.... My goal is to sell it to be able to afford a Mustang Pinball. Wanted one ever since they came out. This is my first DMD. It's a great game, but around here, locally, it's been easier to find a Jackbot to play then a Mustang. Well at least places I can take my kids to.

Kids look like they love the game.

Cointaker and Comet are both highly regarded. If you want to upgrade to LEDs, I'd recommend that you consider installing LED OCD along with it. It'll make the LEDs perform much like incandescent bulbs.

GI Only

All Inserts On
IMG_4559_(resized).JPGIMG_4559_(resized).JPG

This wasn't a kit I threw it together using Comet LEDs. All warm white frosted in the GI. All the inserts are colored frosted non ghosting LEDs.

#24 8 years ago

Flexer, how much did it cost you to buy all the led's for your game?

#25 8 years ago

I did mine in a mix and match from Comet and CoinTaker both. I like the selection available at Comet. I don't trust the kits as I like my colors where I like my colors and that way I make it mine .... I spent a total of about 135 for the premium non ghosting LEDs and flashers.

I will always LED all my machines just for the power usage and fire hazard reduction ... lol ... and I HATE yellow hot bulbs.

I also just installed some $20 Black Chrome "mirror blades" .... Custom cut from a roll of Automotive Vinyl Wrap ... could not use the premium Official blades as the clearance on this machine would not allow it.

#26 8 years ago

Les!!! Your machine looks unreal!! Love the black chrome too!!! That is the look I want.

#27 8 years ago

Les would you happen to have a list of lights you bought for your Jackbot, and where you got the black chrome

#28 8 years ago

So the Black Chrome is a easy search on eBay ... Vinyl Wrap Black Chrome ... the VViViD XPO seems to look the best (the darkest) but they are all really close ...

LED's from Comet I used some of these in BoP so this list is not all for Jack
• 2 : SMD FLEX RGB SLOW FADE COLOR CHANGING BULB
- #555 Wedge
• 2 : SMD 6.3V AC/DC SUPREME BRIGHTNESS 5050 SUPER FLEX NON-GHOSTING - #555 Wedge - Blue

• 10 : 9 SMD 906 TOWER FLASHER - #906 LARGE WEDGE BASE - Orange/Amber
• 2 : 9 SMD 906 TOWER FLASHER - #906 LARGE WEDGE BASE - Red

Then I got some bulk from CoinTaker
1 pkg of 25 555 Premium Non-Ghosting White
1 pkg of 25 44/47 Premium Non-Ghosting White
3 PREMIUM NON GHOST Afterburner Pop Bumper LEDs in Red

again some of these went into BoP as well (I already had LEDs in Bride but I was not happy with my eBay LEDs choices as some flickered)

I think I saved maybe 20 dollars over the kit price and I got to choose what colors I wanted and where to put them.

No real reason for getting from both companies other than I forgot to order enough. Jack has a LOT of bulbs in it. More than Bride ... here is a picture of Bride.
