Smelled something burning last night while playing Popeye.
Shut off game and opened backbox and sniffed/felt around for suspect.
See pics.
I have already crimped (4) new turficon pins ans installed in a new 11 pin connector.
Also buffed the two pins J120-10,11 to clean them some.
I know I should probably re-pin the driver board too...

Turned on the pin and all seems fine. The connector area of J120-10,11 is getting warm to the touch after 10-15 minutes but maybe it's always been that way?
So is that the GI supply to the backbox/playfield? If I LED the backbox, will that help to lower the current draw thru those pins?

You should really do the pins also. Leds will help though.

Just seems like the gauge of the wire going in to this J120 connector is sort of skimpy too.

But also re-do the pins and replace the connector. Maybe even LED the playfield as well and save yourself the future headache.
