    The Marco setup is probably better for those who are crimp pin challenged, however, if you are not good at desoldering/soldering, then I would recommend sending the board out for the header replacement.

    I do like the pre-made cable because of how tight the wire loom is. If a wire has been burned back pretty far from the circuit board, you may be hard pressed to get enough slack to remove the burned portion, crimp on a pin, and still be able to plug in the connector.
