    Yes, I used to have one. That should be plenty for basic troubleshooting. The newer digital scopes have data capture and freeze. Also, higher end scopes have the ability to monitor the data bus directly. A nice Rigol Digital scopes start around $400.

    Scopes are like playfield wax. Everyone has an opinion.
