You're going to buy one game for $1500. The goal is to not get ripped off.

Do you buy Fish Tales or Demolition Man?

If you're checking an old price guide you're cheating, but that's what I'm using for the answers.

In 1997 I could get demo mans for 900-1200, fish tales hardly ever for less than 1500. Times are definitely different, sold about 4 cirqus voltaires and MM's for around 2k as well. Also had 4-5 TAF golds that only went for 2500-3000

Depends on what you like as I feel they are two very different games. I like both of them for gameplay. Tough choice but can't go wrong either way.

I'd say Fishtales between the two listed above... Otherwise I'd put the money for a deposit to MB.

The right answer is Demolition Man. Although as ElectricCircuit said above, YMMV.

Demolition Man $1600

Fish Tales $1250

In 1997 I probably could have gotten 10 Varkons for $1500 total which apparently would net me $100,000 today.

JD is only $1400

CV NIB. That was about what the blowout price was.

I would buy a minty FT, and put it in a windowless room!!!! But if I was profit driven in my motive, I would choose a far different title.

Yes, those were great blow out prices, but it was a year later in the Spring of '98 when the blow out on those began.

Its still kinda early here.

Sound like a dream, take my 10,000 saved for MM and go back in time and have 6 bad to the bone games for that amount....

Yep.

FT, because I like that game better.

Popeye!

Strangely it's not in there. There some other games from '95, so I can't explain it.

is it me or are people shocked that fish tales isn't selling for double or triple what it is?!? I'm baffled that other Williams titles are going for 3-7k and ft is still available for $1500-2700!

Bought the FT I had back then for $1100. The price seems high to me for either game.

I thought it was $1900.

no, it's a hard game with a shallow ruleset, polarizing theme and music.

I had a Demolition Man and now have a Fish Tales....I honestly like the FT better, but that's just me... DM isn't a bad game.

CV blowout was '98 and a few dollars more ($2k). Trust me, I was there and still have the proof!
