No defense in golf
Technically while you may be able to classify competitive pinball as a sport, just because you have to use your fingers and have good eye-hand coordination to excel at pinball, video games, etc., that doesn’t make you an athlete. For me there needs to be some combination of running, jumping, throwing, clubbing, tumbling, strength, endurance, etc. for me to classify something as sport.
While on the topic a pet peeve of mine is the NASCAR “playoffs”. My first question is, what sport do drivers play? Do they “play” auto racing? I don’t think so. Why not call it the “race-offs” (would make much more sense to me)?

We discuss the Nascar thing here at my place often as I enjoy Nascar.We in our infinite wisdom have decided Nascar is not a sport its an event.
