My Rottweiler puppy was born this past Wednesday. There were two males and one female in the litter. I'm getting one of the males, the week before Christmas. My wife and I are so excited we can't stand it.
We lost our last Rottweiler Hercules, this past June.I'm still heartbroken, but that's the price you have to pay,for loving animals.
I'll be posting some pictures of the puppies, and one in memory of my buddy Hercules. Hercules is the one in the Santa hat, and the little dog is Millie, she's a Jack Russell.

Awwwwe. Congrats on the new addition!! Dogs are THE BEST!!

    #3 5 years ago

Awesome! Dogs are the best for sure! We lost our rottwielers 2 months apart about 6 moths ago..... Was a tough go. Understand what you went through with your loss and send condolences, but the amount of love and joy they bring in the short time they spend with us makes it all worthwile. Congrats on the new family member! Best remedy for a broken heart is a puppy/rescued dog.

We still have our african lion hound though. 'Rosco' Soon to get a adopted friend from the shelter. another rottwieler or large breed of course. They have the hardest time finding homes.
Hope Millie like the new puppy more than the hat. lol great picture!!

Thanks for the condolences,I cried for three days straight, until I couldn't cry anymore.
I almost got a rescue Rotty, but for some reason, they would only allow residents of Maryland to adopt.I guess they wanted to be able to check up on the dog?
My poor dogs, are always dressed up for all of the holidays,so that my wife can take their pictures.I don't know what Millie thinks is going on,but she hate it.

RIP Hercules. Congrats on the new pup. Name ideas?

    #6 5 years ago

1st off, sorry for your loss and may Hercules RIP. ❤️

Worse for me to lose a pet than a person.

Secondly, congratulations on your new family member and may your family enjoy him for years and years.

I had (deceased about 15 years ago)a 150 rock of a Rottweiler named Hercules! What a dog. Great breed.

That's how much Hercules weighed, and he was the friendliest dog you ever met.I never seen such a happy dog in all of my life, and he looked like he was always smiling.

My first Rotty was Zeus, and my second was Hercules. Now my wife and I are thinking of something totally different, and less serious. So we decided on Louie, and give the greek mythology names a break for awhile. To be honest,I was thinking Apollo, but the name Louie for a Rottweiler, make me smile.

    Double post.

I like Louie! We have "Maggie." Human names for dogs always make me smile too. I haven't had the guts to do it, bit I always thought Bob or Steve would be a hysterical name for a dog.

I just hope the other dogs don't tease him and call him Boba Looey.

For those too young to remember Boba Looey.

My wife and I are both excited ,were picking him up December 22nd!
I think it'll do my Jack Russell some good, having a brother again.

    #19 5 years ago

    Got a name yet?

    Quoted from Turtle:

    Got a name yet?

My first Rotty was named Zeus, and my last one was Hercules. This time around, we're thinking about a not so serious name. And so far it looks like Louie is the winner.
For some reason, the name Louie for a rottweiler makes me smile.

That Jack Russell is kind of ornery.

I didn't think so. Millie liked me.

She likes everybody,I think Poppapin kicked her, when I want to the kitchen for a beer.
