Why do people think this will stop all of a sudden? The same thing has happened in silver age comics and many other hobbies over long periods of time. If you look at a 20-30 year chart the prices steadily rise as most blue chip stocks...think Coca Cola, microsoft amazon nike disney. We have dips and spikes but if you zoom out the rise is consistent over long periods of time. Same with housing prices. Yes we had a bubble due to greed and sub prime mortgages but same if you zoom out. While I do agree that the spike here due to covid supply chain issue was artificially fast and high, it does not change the fact that over time the prices will continue to rise. I have been watching these prices for about 8 years and you need to look no further than b list titles like WCS and Shadow to see the trends. Yes, new stern pros and premiums will come down once they catch up with manufacturing, however gone are the days of $4500 pro machines sadly but it is what it is. The GOT and Aerosmiths of the world will probably never be below $5500 again and the A list titles will hover around $6-$6500.
