    Was the cabinet outside in the sun with stencils applied? Exposure to heat could be the reason that the stencil is leaving residue.

    I have not had this issue with pinball pimp stencils (and I think his are the best out there by far ) but I have had issues similar to this with other projects I have done. Oramask 810S is designed for solvent based paints. This is what I use for certain projects where I know this could be an issue and it has been working for me. 810S is very low tack (which can also make it a pain to work with) It comes off very easy and I’ve never had it leave residue. It is more a more expensive mask though.
