I have been trying to figure out why El Dorado doesn't start a game.... just lights in backglass... tilt etc.

A very nice EM pinball guy helped me figure out it was the score wheel motor.... when I pressed the start relay... the upper/longer drop target assembly would make a very loud buzz.

The score wheel motor (pictured) does not move manually or when the credit button is pressed.

Not super sure what I did but... last night when I was fiddling with the score motor wheel.... it came free & it spun... then I could start a game but the buzz came again.

I hope I explained thing well enough

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So, the problem is the buzz? Is the game playing? Stick your head right down in the cabinet and track it down. If you're not sure exactly where it is get something insulated or non-conductive and touch various relays to feel for vibration.

After you find it, check this: http://www.pinrepair.com/em/index3.htm#buzz

I am pretty sure the loud buzz is from the upper longest target assembly. I'll check out that website when I get home... thanks a lot
