I’m working on a Stern Meteor for a friend. Inside the cabinet I found a second transformer. It’s wired into the incoming 115 Volt power supply (not switched). Upon further investigation I believe it to be this:

The owner has 4 or 5 other games (mostly Stern) and none have this isolating transformer.

My questions are:
What is it for?
Should we leave it in?
Should it be switched?

Thanks
Bob

Thanks everyone. I would think for safety you'd be better to plug it into a GFCI outlet.

It'll get removed.

Thanks again.
