Problem: The game resets when island motor is activated.

1. Checked microswitch 77 at lock coil, resoldered and replaced diode.
A. Removing either wire at switch eliminates reset problem.
2. Checked coil at lock for island and its ok.
3. Checked for obvious issues such as shorts, broken wires etc. All is ok.
4. Grounded Q58 at driver board and...
A. It resets the game most of the time but not every time it is grounded.
5. Replaced opto at island.

Still resetting!! Any help is much appreciated!!!
Thanks.

Check BR1 And Br2 on the driver board,To test with meter set it diode setting set black probe on "oddball" leg this is the one that is out of the "square"
Place red probe adjacent legs..4 - .7 should be on the reading.

Place red probe on leg catecorner from "oddball" leg.
Place black probe on the adjacent legs. .4 - .7 should be on the reading

you may see "short", which is a clear indication of a failed bridge.

Check capacitors also,With meter set to ohms setting.
if the ohms steadily climb it's good,There's a +/- on the capacitor, - will have a stripe on it.If numbers on meter don't climb it's a bad capacitor.

So I went in there and check the capacitor but needed to take the board out to get a better reading especially on br-2. In doing so I found all sorts of problems. The GI plugs were completely burnt up as is common in these games and actually pulled the male pins out when I removed one of the plugs. Additionally someone had done some previous repair on the game on an area that had completely burned up presumably from a bad transistor.

So as it stands I am going with a new solenoid driver board in the game!
