Vending and Amusements operator/ATM operator. ATM operators/technicians are deemed essential, but when 85% of your atm route is in non essential businesses, as well as all but ONE of your 75+ amusement/vending locations is non essential (some driving games and cranes in a coin laundry), you become a stay at home dad. No PPP, no SBA, no unemployment-you live off savings. But hey, me and the girls are having a ton of fun! I’ve becoming the executive chef for a 7 and 3 year old! MsPac scrambled eggs. I don’t see this ending anytime soon. Even if stay at home orders and economic reopenings occur, summer camps will be closed and bars will probably be the last wave of openings.

Essential. I work for an air charter company, usually our planes carry auto parts but have been flying PPE and ventilators.

    Quoted from Luckydogg420:

I hear ya there. I’ve been at the same work place for 18 years. Last week they closed down and I had to file for employment insurance along with 500000 other Canadians. Last year in the same week they processed 27000, so needless to say they will be backlogged for a while. I have some savings but in a month or two it will be exhausted.

Found out yesterday that our company is closing down. Since child care has disappeared this summer, I’ll be home until school is back. Then back on the hunt for work in The fall. Honestly I’m not worrying The government has emergency funds for the next 8 weeks, then I should have 32 weeks employment insurance after that. It will be tough finding a new job for the first time in almost 20 years.
