Forgive me if there is an obvious answer to this question; I don't follow threads and specifics due to work and family life. But....

When and where would one expect that JJP would announce their next game? I'm stoked about the prospect of a Wonka machine. So much so that I've been playing clips from youtube on our TV to annoy the wife and *hopefully* wear her thin before the game is released. I've never bought a NIB pin, but Wonka may be the first. The possibilities for the machine seem awesome.....

No forgiveness from me - whad’ya mean you don’t follow threads??? This is unacceptable

Ha, if only there were more time. I'm almost done refurbishing a Flying Carpet as a favor, next in line is a Space Mission - - - again, for someone else. And I tore down my STTNG for refurbishment and there it sits. Someday I'll get back to it. With a 50+ hour a week job, plus two young kids. Now if I win the Powerball this weekend.....I'll have more time. And I'll fund the manufacturing for TBL. Right.

Quoted from PinMonk:

Stern has done too much cost reduction and JJP has not done enough. I think JJP could cut some corners and still have a fine product that is substantially better than Stern build quality and presentation while removing 15% of the cost to keep the machines in low earth orbit. They should do that ASAP.

I really don’t like that idea. They build the Cadillac for the higher end market. If WW happens, my expectation is toys and complexity. Stern can build the Chevy models....

Quoted from Amused_to_Death:

I'm not trying to justify the price. Someone brought up buying cars for less money than WOZ. I thought it was worth mentioning that you can also buy cars that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. It's a pointless argument. Buy what you want. Eat what you want, too. Life is short. Who cares what others are doing with their money?

I think cars are very comparable. You get what you pay for. Go cheap, splurge, or ride the bus. I don’t splurge on cars but will on pinball.

The last thing I want to see JJP do is cheapen up the games. They’d just be another Stern....

If they base it on the Depp movie, they might as well make a WOZ “The Wiz” edition.

It’d be funny if they aren’t making Wonka at all. Depressing actually. I’ve never bought a NIB pin, but most likely will if it’s Wonka. It’s nuts to think about dropping $10k on a pin. I mean, what do you people do for a living? I’m an engineering manager and $10k is a stretch for me to spend on a luxury item...

Quoted from FalconPunch:

Ohh gosh.
So many posts speculating it might be the shit Wonka.
It's not. It's the good one . The Gene one.
If someone wants to make a bet I will buy you the most expensive version of Wonka if I'm wrong. You can donate 50 bucks to pinside if I'm right....which I am.
Who wants to donate some money?

Seriously? Put that in a legally binding document and I'm in! =)

Quoted from Skyemont:

I will back up FalconPunch. It is based on the original movie. 100%. Trust me. There is no point talking about it anymore.

Well I guess you know more than I do. It was a joke anyhow. I have considered donating to pinside in the past...

I prefer WIWO, but with that and $1 you get a cup of coffee at McDonald’s...
