Quoted from Bublehead:

I don’t know which is anticipated more by Pinside, the reveal of JJP WW, the Dead Flip stream of BKSoR or delivery of my MBrLE.

Probably not the MBRLE.

Pinball’s.com has the in stock. If you want it today.

Quoted from PanzerFreak:

Kaneda mentioned that Pat Lawlor is going back and tweaking some things on the game, and said that the version they played is not the final production version. He made it sound like the ramp(s) wide and may be narrowed a bit.

If they are still tweaking the game than a May delivery is off the table

I know I give alot of shit about the powder coating of the doors and I like to give JJP some hassle on that and will continue to do so - Because to me its my passion of the game to make them that much better and I love the add mods to dress them up with toys and mods that are being made by other companies. It really is amazing to see what it being done today compare to the past years.

You say you love to add mods but you are hassling JJP for not adding your mods as standard? I don't get it.

Also, I think powder coat on doors looks like shit.

JJP has traditionally avoided gameplay differences between the price tiers, which I think is a good thing that I hope they continue.
I hate that on Sterns, sometimes the pro shoots better than the premium - impossible to know until all versions are out.

Yeah, tell me about it... I have a SW Pro. I still love the game, but it really sucks that the *only* real toy in the game isn't part of it lol. If it didn't have such great code, the playfield would be a joke.

SW Pro is exactly what I had in mind with that statement. The Pro plays much better than the premium because you don’t have to fight that ramp into the Death Star.

While I really hope BK winds up being a great game, part of me really wants to see some of the cocky folks at Stern humbled a bit on Friday when Wonka drops.

#1658 4 years ago
Quoted from CrazyLevi:

The dead flip BK stream is the single most anticipated thing in Pinside history.
Until 10 minutes after it's over, at which time the Wonka reveal on Friday will become the most anticipated thing in Pinside history.

Then 10 minutes after that it will be what’s next or this thing is horrible.

Remember when they were humbled in Texas? That “dark night for stern?”

Enough of this nonsense. It’s pinball not Days of Our Lives. And what happens at a reveal really doesn’t matter beyond the latest podcast cycle.

It’s quite possible both games will be well revealed and nobody needs to be “humbled.”

To me it's like they powder coat everything else and on some games the same would make sense...buts it's the time and hassle to switch things over....I dont worry anymore and just have Matt @ BackAlley takes care.of it for me. Trust me it's all in fun and JJP knows that I am a huge fan and will be in for many of their games in the future....if not all games to come from JJP.

All my games are tricked out to the fullest ...that is part of the fun after u get the game as.well.

Yeah, would be nice. Stern has never seemed humbled when it comes to JJP, bitter is more like it. Anytime Stern posts a picture of an arcade lineup they make sure not to include any JJP games in their photos. There was also George Gomez's WOZ coat hanger comment a couple years back.

JJP on the otherhand has openly complimented Stern, includes their games in Facebook pictures, etc. JJP knows Stern is their competitor but can celebrate all things pinball. Stern however just acts like JJP doesn't exist.

Game play differences between the models has indirectly caused me not to buy some stern machines in the past. It's hard enough to find games on location to play without having to find different models. TWD is the prime example for me. The walker bomb seems like such a cool rule, but then you'll get a bunch of people that say the pro shoots better. I was dead set on getting a TWD, but I got kind of annoyed with the different features on each one so the moment ended up passing. DP could be similar as you get a bunch of people saying go pro, but another contingent that say the pro is clunky and the premium is not. Again, no way for me to test this on my own easily so the desire is starting to fritter away. I can see how this might actually be a plus for some people as they can chose a different feeling game with the same theme. For me it's just headache inducing.

Anyway, I hope Wonka keeps the differences to cosmetic among the models.

So they need extra help for the Cactus Canyon Continued unveiling?

Now all you need is 2 feet of snow and everything will have worked out perfectly.

#1665 4 years ago

Sadly the 2 feet is coming a few days early.

Congrats Lloyd, MGC is ideal show for you to attend this year. Wonka will be revealed ... and because you’re a closet Oompa Loompa who never grew up.

George has made many strange posts and deleted them.

SDTM World Exclusive: Willy Wonka Pinball by Jersey Jack Pinball

It totally does say You Get Nothing Sir when you drain

#1673 4 years ago

It's the Wizard of Oz on LSD.

#1674 4 years ago

So who leaked this information? Some guy saying to another guy: "Listen, I have a secret but you can't tell anyone ok?". Then 3 minutes later it's on Pinside.

At Heighway Pinball when Andrew got the Playboy licence we all prayed to God that no one leaked it, it would've been the end of the company a lot sooner.

#1675 4 years ago

There should be several production models of Willy Wonka at Pintastic New England this year, and we'll have three of the actors who played Wonka kids in the movie! https://pintasticnewengland.com/ has info. Set aside June 27-30 in your calendar.
