I my opinion, it should be the buyers' preference. I prefer the Pro's where the ball flow, which is important to me, is generally unobstructed. My only exception is my AC/DC Luci which I just had to have. Based on discussions I've had with friends who have LE's, it seems that they actually depreciate more in that in the used pinball market buyers look for the least expensive option of a particular title and that usually turns out to be the Pro. Opinions are like elbows, everyone has a couple. The fact of the matter is that the LE's and Premiums have more to offer and that is what the buyer expects. To purchase a LE or Premium for the purpose of a resale at a later time could be risky. From what I've read in Pinside, LE/Premium buyers look at the Pro buyers as coin operators or people looking for a cheaper pin and "missing" on the many additional thrills that the higher end pins offer. I for one do not believe that is the case. In some cases is plain finance, in other cases as mine, is plain preference. The bottom line is that these new pinball machines with all the advances made in electronics, LED lights, and code upgrade capabilities are great pieces of art, work, and entertainment. There is a market for everything out there. Enjoy what you have and don't try to justify what you buy -- it is your own personal preference and affordability. Long live pinball!
