I would say yes. Expo, while not the largest, used to be considered the premiere show due to all the seminars, industry people, and big announcements. It seems, however, that Expo has been on a steady decline for years, while TPF has been on the rise. I know so many people that went to TPF for the first time this year, which further illustrates how TPF is now perceived as something that's not to be missed. Conversely, I know a lot of people who have no desire to go back to Expo anytime soon.

    Quoted from Whysnow:

All shows are different. TPF is a good all around show, but so are many other shows.
If you want to play great condition games, then VFW is the premier show.
If you want industry people, then expo still wins that (but TPF may have taken over this year)
If you want a swap meet then allentown seems to be it.
If you want the true hobbyist experience and energy then MGC is it.
If you want to compete then replayfx/pinburgh is the answer.
No need to crown a single premier. they all offer distinct things and none of them can do it all, but they each can be the best at one aspect.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that other shows don't have their merits. There are a lot of great shows out there. It just seems pretty clear to me that TPF has officially become the show that carries the most weight in the hobby.

Sadly, I'm not surprised to hear all of the negative comments about Expo. One of the main reasons I started this thread was so that Mike would read it, and hopefully reconsider how he runs his show.
