I don't think it's the same mech. IIRC, the rug on the pin doesn't actually roll up like that. The cylinder rolls back, giving the illusion that it is being unrolled, but the rug itself is just art on the playfield.

Hey Guys,
Brian, you are correct, that is not the rug toy. The rug toy mechanism was developed in house and tested very thoroughly.
