I am working on restoring this 1977 Stern Rawhide . Are the legs and coin door just painted silver or is it some kind of plating like cadmium? FYI-this game was made right when Stern acquired Chicago Coin so these could be CC parts.

Quoted from CanadianMike:

:PS)Did you get your rawhide machine restored

Repaired a bunch of scratches and gouges on the cabinet. Working on the internals now. Took it from totally unresponsive to working great. But now it gets stuck in the score reset when I start it up. As soon as I get that sorted out, I'll start working on the cosmetics.

Quoted from EM-PINMAN:

They did not use a hammer tone paint originally. You can buy a very close match to the original light grey online. Do not remember the brand (Maybe Krylon) or item # as I no longer have a CC, but with a little searching online you will find it.

I agree. The paint is pretty beat up but it doesn't look like hammer tone to me. I picked up some Krylon All Surface Metallic Enamel that looks close. I'll post pics when I get it painted.
