Doing a PF swap on my Medusa with a CPR gold PF. Its had several months if not years to cure.

Had the PF upside down for about 3 days installing the ground wire, and other stuff.

Flip it over today and notice a bunch of cracking around the inserts.

Is this expected to happen? And if so, so soon?

Nothing?

Not trying to stir things up, just want to know if this is now considered the norm.

Lol. Really?

Quoted from tomdrum:

I don't see it.

Crud. So how do you go about attaching the braid and pounding the t-nuts?

Quoted from High_End_Pins:

If you do a bit of pounding and stapling near the inserts it can happen.
It can also happen anyway regardless of that but if you didn’t notice before you started building only after it could be from the building process.
I have seen it right out of the box and also not until after assembly so it can go either way. One of the many reasons I have gotten away from stapled braid on playfields.

Thanks i'll go check them out. Still learning about restoring pins, much harder than vids.

Quoted from Wmsfan-GAP:

If you look at some of High End Pins posts, you will see that this isn't that far out of the norm unfortunately...

"I use two lead sockets so I don’t have to use bare stapled wire."

Fascinating. I went thought your Medusa restoration thread but i couldn't find this.

Quoted from High_End_Pins:

I use a t nut tool to pull those in and I use two lead sockets so I don’t have to use bare stapled wire.
This might highlight that but it has been a while on Medusa specifically.
