    Quoted from robx46:

I can learn a bit about electronics & working on circuit boards, or I can get greasy working on some mechanical stuff, & when I'm done there is an awesome game to play & art to look at. Honestly is there a better hobby out there?

This sums it up pretty well right here, and is exactly what I have done. Buy small, clean and fix, trade up. You will learn along the way, and many here will help.

    Quoted from UvulaBob:

I've been poring through this book on electricity to learn about volts, amps and ohms and I have my eye on a couple of general pinball repair books on Amazon. I've watched pretty much every video by TNT Amusements, PinballHelp, havepinwilltravel, S Verlander and a few others.

Great start and good attitude, now go get a Pinball Ninja membership. Best 20 bucks you'll spend on the hobby.

No. I've been contemplating on selling it all lately. Pain in the ass lately,& causes havoc with the wife.

Agreed. Been in it for 12 years now and entertaining the idea of selling it all. Just not sure it's worth the time, effort, and price tag anymore.

    Quoted from UvulaBob:

I live in Seattle, so there are quite a few Microsoft Millionaires around here keeping prices higher that it looks like the rest of the country gets to enjoy.

Well that changes everything. You live in the location pinball Mecca, the pacific northwest.

Take your time saving up and enjoy the hundreds of games of games you have on location near you in the mean time. Eventually, you'll find something. As I mentioned before, owning a game is not a requirement of the hobby. Many here would love to have as many location games nearby as you have. Hell, I'd settle for having a Shorty's nearby.

This was my first pinball and I loved every damn thing about it (to hell with the kids across the street, whose toy pinball had LEGS):
