Hi dear Pinsiders,

My Starship Troopers is sometimes rebooting, when I press the mini-flipper at the same time with at least one other flipper. It has a third button to flip it.
The boards were all checked by a professional, so I want to check if it's a problem with the mini-flipper.
Strangely without the DMD the game works without any reboots (even with pressing of the mini-flipper).
The DMD and Power Supply Board were checked as well.

I notice that on the "End of Stroke switch" of the mini-flipper there are no wires. Is this the way it should be? Maybe somebody with a Starship Troopers or any other Whitestar game with a mini-flipper of this kind (for example a Rollercoaster-Tycoon) could check this for me.

Then I noticed, that the one cable on the coil seems to be smaller than it is on the other two flippers (Left cable on the picture).
I saw that on some of the other coils (for example the slingshot coils).

I thought that the diode (or the cables) on the coil might be reversed, so I took a look at the manual.
In my opinion it looks fine.

I can't figure out where the problem is.
Do you have any idea what could cause this to happen or what I should test?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your reply!

R116 was already adjusted by my technician.

So I've cut leg 3 on the U218 (on the CPU Board) and leg 3 on U210 (on the Power Driver Board) as Sega service Bulletin Nr.112 says (I found it somewhere on the internet).

The game now works without any reboots. Thanks a lot CadillacMusic!

Thanks a lot to Pinside too, for getting the opportunity to solve this problem!

Finally I can play the game as it should be.
