That all depends upon what's wrong with it and how much effort someone wants to take to repair it.

It's certainly not a piece of equipment that I've seen surface.

It definitely could. There's a lot of coils out there that have no direct replacements. This would probably be perfect for making your own substitute.

Maybe to a company that makes guitar pickups.

A long time ago we needed a choke for an Indian motorcycle and there was no way to get one. If you needed it wound it was going to be "by hand" or SOL.

Someone should have this just like someone needs a proper rivet press in the area.

If you know how to use it properly then and you can fix it then it can have a use. I don't have a "use" for it, but then again I bought a Bridgeport mill I had no "use" for and the 3 times I have used it in the last 3 months since getting it I have thought... I would never be able to go out and buy this thing I needed for a project. Granted I know how to use Machine tools.

I was born in Bridgeport and my Dad worked at Bridgeport Machines.

I believe it's completely functional. It's just no longer needed.

I want to find it a home other than trash.

If you can get it to Ann Arbor michigan we could certainly use it.
