I’ve noticed that my cannon wires really stretch the black rubber that goes around the right hand side kicker. I even zip tied them up as out of the way as possible, but they still really rub hard and push that rubber out. In fact, today I looked closely and there is a decent amount worn off of the rubber where it rubs the cannon wires, and there were chunks laying on the playfield.

There is an AC/DC at my local pinball arcade and I noticed that theirs sort of does the same thing, so I’m guessing it’s normal, but just wanted to double check. Seems like a ton of wear and tear to the rubber and also some wear and tear on the wire insulation for the cannon wires.

Pics attached of “cannon off”, “cannon mid way”, and “cannon fully extended”. FYI, it may look like it, but my zip tie does NOT contact the rubber at all. That’s not causing the issue.

Quoted from konghusker:

Mine did that. I put Titans all around and they are holding up much better.

Thanks. Do they have the same factory “bounce” as the black rubbers? I know that even changing to white rubber can really mess with the bounce, vs black.
