The two inserts look interesting. I'm not sure if those are just voids in the wood, or if they drilled the holes in the wrong position, or if they actually reduced the size of the inserts that they were going to use.
What does the top side of the playfield look like?

Gottlieb System 3 games have outlines and labels printed as well. It's a nice feature.
