I have a PC on my desk with a large monitor.

I've already got a PC-based microscope for looking at solder pads, etc...
    PC-based o-scope.
    PC-based logic analyzer.
    EPROM burner.

I'm looking for a multimeter than can do all the usual multimeter stuff.... ACV, DCV, resistance, continuity, diodes, etc...

National Instruments makes one. It's not cheap. The least expensive one I saw was the USB-4065. Starts at $1,417.00 I guess it's probably not designed for the hobbyist.

It was some ultra-cheap thing off www.wish.com for like $5 shipped.

It works really well though! Built in light, focus, magnification, etc... Works on Windows and android too!

Never seen a straight USB multimeter....would seem pretty restrictive. But, you can buy multimeters with USB interfaces.

The other option is the National Instruments MyDAQ at about $180. Voltmeter, scope and function generator.
