Hi,

so I put a working display from Dracula into my Family Guy. I got garbled junk on Family Guy... put the dmd back into BS Dracula and display worked just fine...

so? I wasn't aware DMD we're different until Stern changed them over to the new Block Design, which is 5v...

why wouldn't my regular DMD work in the FG???

thanks

Might be a stupid question but did you download the family guy chroma file and upload it to the dmd?

No, I didn't do anything. I don't even know what that is... not plug and play? Fyi, this just a regular DMD, not a color version.

No difference. Install Drac DMD *AND* Drac ribbon cable in FGY. Could be the ribbon cable.

If still no video, check display voltage on FGY. Use the same procedure as you would on Drac. Heed the warnings about high voltages if you've never tested DMD voltages. They can bite you good.

If Drac's display is original, it could be tired. The factory Babcock DMD in my Drac eventually started causing resets. Worked fine, but dragged down the 5 volts enough to cause resets.

Your Dracula display panel will work perfectly in family guy. My guess is that the ribbon may have been installed upside down.

Thanks. Ribbon cable was okay and I did flip it around, in a attempt to fix, but that was not the issue.

What did the issue turn out to be?
