I've never gotten good at it despite playing it in league for years. I have played with players much better than me that have it down though. Once they get a good feel for the game, it's a single flip most every time. If I remember right, the flip makes the ball hit the right rubber, then the lower right rubber, then it bounces up and out. The flip is done before the ball touches any rubber. Right side, bottom right, up and out. If they missed it the first try, they'd usually get it after a couple of flips and act somewhat embarrassed that they didn't get it on the first try. Marc Conant had a 95%+ first flip success rate on the location TZ he maintained. It was frustrating to watch him and not be able to come close to his success rate.
The upper playfield can be leveled separately from the lower playfield. If you've never leveled your upper playfield, find a small bubble level and do so. Seems like BAA or Marco sell cheap playfield bubble levels, if you don't have one around the house. I believe instructions on how to level the upper playfield are in the manual. Once it's level, try to get it on the first drop. I've never been a huge TZ fan, but I'd love to have one at home for a few months just to get that shot down.
