I have a Monopoly Pin, and it has 3 Pop Bumpers in the upper left. The bumpers don't light up when they are hit, which I find odd. There is nothing wrong with the lights themselves, they work, they just do not come on at what would seem to be expected times. I was wondering how hard it would be to mod the software. I am a software engineer by trade, but I have no knowledge of how to even begin such a project.

Do you mean you want them to turn on when hit, or flash when hit? The latter might be much more simply done by wiring a flasher up to the coil.

Whitestar games like monopoly were coded in assembly and C, so if you want to actually modify the code you'll need to reverse engineer the binary. I'm not aware of anyone that's played with hacking whitestar roms yet

Maybe a simple mod to light them up when they are hit would be nice. It just seems lame the way they work now. I could build a circuit to light it up when the bumper is hit. It just seems weird that one of the bumpers lights when hit, but the other 2 do not. I have confirmed this on a couple of machines.
