Is the game code finished?

there are some final tweaks and backend items to be added i believe. support for the pindemption (redemption) system should also be added, although you will need a separate dongle to be able to enable that function.

When they do an update, it won't be anything earth shattering. I'd guess just tweaks and bug fixes.

But seeing the subject came up, I actually wonder if the game is too hard. I don't think I could ever finish Rescue Multiball, even if I played my best game ever. And I'm not sure I like that. An example of what I mean is right in LOTR. I still believe I could get to Valinor, even though I never have been there. I think that because I have accomplished everything I'd need to do to get there, but I've never come close to accomplishing them all in the same game.

I've earned a lot of diamonds along the way, but I'm not even close to finishing Rescue. I've tried stacking ECMB with it to have more balls on the table. I've played it with only two, and all roads lead to failure. Maybe it's just me. I realize I'd probably never get to SOTR even if I could finish rescue. I just want to be able to think that I could get there. I'm unlikely to actually put together a game that puts them all together, but if I concentrate on a part of it, shouldn't I be able to finish that little part?

So Keith, I realize there won't be big changes in any farther code updates in WOZ. But if there were ever gameplay tweaks, would you consider making Rescue a bit more realistic? I'm not asking you to make it "easy", just give it a bit of a haircut. (of course the real answer is that I should be a better player if I ever want to see SOTR).

I know this is a pipe-dream... but a 'poppies' mode where the playfield falls asleep with dream-like music and lit shots are the only thing that will wake Dorothy up. A bit like TNPLH.

Back in the real world, a way for my kids to get their names on the high score table would be lovely.

You guys want "cheat codes" with that too? and a pause function? Video games killed pinball. Welcome back to the real world of ball physics boyz! Now get out of here and go play your PS3. Just yanking your chain guys. It is in deed a tough pin. I don't own one but after owning LOTR for 7 years and only making it to Valinor once (after 4.5 years) I understand.

ok, gonna go play me some WPT now and maybe a quick game of LOTR.

Keep on flippin everyone!

Fun fact: Twilight Zone actually featured a pause function. I believe the final home revision (L-7?) had a feature where at any time in the game, you could pause. This would drain the ball; when the game was unpaused, you'd shoot the ball and gameplay would begin again with all modes you had been playing through before in progress.

OT: Likely not any time soon. Expect minor tweaks but not much else, the game is pretty much complete at this point.

I heard there is a hobbit gameplay video coming up as well.

The pause mode in TZ actually works by cradling the ball. Once you have the ball cradled on either main flipper, you press the extra ball button and all the sound stops, and the flipper is held up. Once you want to play again, you just hold the flipper button and press the extra ball button again, and things start back up.

Didn't know that. That is a cool feature.
