Thanks to a lot of inspiring examples here i also spent a lot of time in quarantine making upgrades:

-installed a Pin2dmd evolution, the colors are amazing
-replaced the annoying Rosie O Donnel translite with the cartoon version
-replaced all playfield light bulbs with LEDs (Noflix plus)
-lit up the dinosaur, houses (this was fairly easy with a box cutter), the machine area when it’s in motion (looks awesome) and the backright area (which usually is very dark). All these mods came from eBay seller judge-dreads-pinball)
-still waiting for the playfield cartoon replacement decal to arrive

I might still want to install red leds to give the dinosaur red eyes (saw it somewhere here), but need to figure out how first

Hey guys, my Flintstones pin recently started showing the following error: check machine entrance switch. It seems to be working fine though. I also have activated the machine recently, so it’s not due to inactivity. I have no experience fixing switches.. what should I look for and how do I go about it? Just want to make sure I don’t make matters worse when I open it up..

Quoted from SimplePin:

Try going into tests -> switch edges. Then if you push the switch with your finger or roll a ball over does it alway make a noise and register on the switch matrix? If nothing activates in test mode then I'd inspect the wires and diode associated with that switch to ensure that everything is connected. I'd start there.

Thanks. I finally got round to trying this. However I’m not even sure I’m looking in the right place. Is the below switch the right one? It doesn’t register when I activate it.. how would I go about fixing it? I tried googling and checking the manual but it doesn’t even mention switch 76..

Quoted from SimplePin:

That's the ball gate. It's the "machine" entrance switch is on the right side of the "machine". The spinning mixer in the upper left corner of the cabinet. My finger is pointing at switch 76 in the photo below.

Thank you so much!! I was able to fix the problem (the switch was working fine but the lever was a bit too high where it didn’t hit the ball; I put a sleeve around it and now it’s working perfectly). Now I can finally enjoy the game error-free again, cheers!
