I think I found it thinking it was the green and brown wire at the board
I don't remember if the ball Launch button on Flintstones stays lit or only when u shoot ?
Thanks all

Ball launch button stays lit. Pic shows my game at my son's house.
If your switch still isn't working, check for circuit continuity if you have a multimeter. Also check to see if any fuses blown and broken wires or loose connections.

Howdy gents. What a rich history on this thread. Picked up a reimport beaten pretty good, but with an exquisite PF. Decided to give er’ the ole’ how to and what for. Lots and lots of problems but coming along nicely.
Even in less than functional state it’s clear this pin is a gem. Will be changing the art and trans of course. And those McDonald’s houses! Genius. You guys ‘rock’.

I noticed! I am working on one myself right now and was making good progress until I shorted something out while replacing bulbs with LEDs and now have the dreaded "Check F114 and F115" error when it starts up... waiting on a fuse to replace the one that I know is actually blown and then will see if there is any other damage.
Where did you find the small houses that you replaced the figures in the back of the cabinet? I like that much better than the LED strip I put under the original plastic figures.

Those houses are McDonald's toys from 1993 or so. Ebay, you should be able to find them pretty easy. From what I remember they arnt that expensive.

Ah man. Did that on T2. Took the replacement of an LLM339 to repair it. It soooooo tempting to want to leave it in while changing bulbs. But one drop hits the right 2 things and bam. Life just got a lot harder.
Yeah got em off eBay. Kinda wonky to mount.
I put it all back together. Played a game, and the spring beneath them came off the gate diverter. Doh! That’s twice. The wire form is bent a small amount and this is going to continue to be a problem. Hmmm. How to fix it for good…
Would someone please take a pic of the right gate assembly for me. Something seems amiss with the one installed here. The solid metal flap doesn’t extend far enough down to stop the ball, which kicks the spring off every time the ball bounces back through.

Is this the one you mean?

It is. And it appears that might actually stop a ball and keep it in the upper lanes.
Well now to find the correct gate. Not going to be an easy task. Thanks for the pic bud.

We’ll know to find the correct gate. Not going to be an easy task. Thanks for the pic bud.
Good luck finding the part! I have had pretty good luck with finding parts from vendors in Australia, for some reason. Most of the non-standard parts for this game are not available from the usual USA sellers but I have had good luck with plastics and light boards and other such parts from Australian sellers, and the shipping is not THAT bad...
Alright on my Flintstones when the machine for the multi ball is mixing the balls up the left flipper becomes weak, any ideas why this would happen?
I am hoping join the club soon. Can someone steer of places to look for wear on playfield? Or things to look for that are broken and impossible find? Any input would be helpful?

Not much wear is on the Flintstones pin but I have seen insert wear is where too look seen it on the left side of PF could be more but start there
Quoted from kurlykiwi:Also looking at the speaker panel there are 2 different speakers installed. Is this OEM / standard? Thanks
That is what my Flintsone speaker set up looks like too. I’d love to upgrade to something better if someone had an idea of what to replace with and how to rewire.
Quoted from kurlykiwi:Just got a Flintstones and the family are already hooked! There is a loud crack when turning on and off and i was wondering if this is usual? Also looking at the speaker panel there are 2 different speakers installed. Is this OEM / standard? Thanks

Mine makes a loud pop when powering on, followed by a "dong" sound when startup completes.
I also had the same non-symnetric speakers but I replaced mine with Flipper Fidelity, which are both the same.

Thanks. Sounds like you have the same behavior so will leave the "pop" and "dong" investigation for another day. Onto diagnosing why the bumper lights aren't working. Happy days....

Did you need to do any rewiring? Was the sound upgrade worth it? Noticeably better?
Quoted from pacman11:Alright on my Flintstones when the machine for the multi ball is mixing the balls up the left flipper becomes weak, any ideas why this would happen?
I haven’t figured this one out yet. Our Flintstones has started doing this recently also.
Looking forward to seeing the remedy for this.
Quoted from Pizzaman13:Did you need to do any rewiring? Was the sound upgrade worth it? Noticeably better?
The Flipper Fidelity kit comes with its own wiring harnesses, so that part was easy. The sound was definitely better, but not quite in the league of the Pinwoofer kit for modern Stern games. A subwoofer gives the game a lot of punch… I used the Pinnovators kit to hook up a Polk sub.

Okay I just ordered a new flipper opt. so going to replace it and see if that helps.

Hi All
I’m after a Fred’s Choice A plastic that goes above the left drop targets.
If anyone knows where I can get one please drop me a line.
Thanks

Sweet!
I’ll give it a go on ours.
The diverter on my machine is inconsistent when the VUK launches the ball to the Brontosaurus (Mainly with Dino Derby feature) It tries a few times then pushes the ball to the machine instead. Anyone have any advice on a fix?
Balls keep getting stuck in the machine/rock crusher.
I see some games have no rubbers on the center posts up there, others have just sleeves. What’s the right configuration for this? Any other fixes?
I worry no rubbers around those metal posts will just damage the balls over time.

I have sleeves on mine and every so often a ball will stick… but my game always gives the machine a 1/4 or 1/2 turn as sort of a mini ball search and frees the ball. Never had to take the glass off to free a ball.

I just put rubber around mine, smaller ones. I'll send a picture and mine works good.

Pinball center has a full set. Also a guy on ebay that sells the set aswell. Looks like your not in the states so it should be alot easier for you to order from them. I need the 2 ramp decals from them but it's a pian to get to get something from them here to me.

I only need this 31-1977-24 not a full set costing €175 (shipped)
Found it on a site called stbtca.com for €20,- , still a lot of money for a 5cm plastic will do some 3D printing try outs.
My FS has the speakerfront with the dino on.
It seems you don't see them often, anyone knows how many were produced with this front before Williams decided to change it because of too much critics on it, as it looked too much like a phallus which was not ok for a Kids pinball
Photo-4 (resized).pngQuoted from john17a:get rid of thoso horrible black rubbers ,, never again with the options we have now
Fully agree but might put some boulders over them.
Are the all the same size (length) those around and middle ? what's the exact size?
thx
