Hello! After a long time away from pinballs, I get back with a restoration.
A Flintstones has come to my hands, with the playfield quite bad. I've looked for inserts, but haven't found them, so I'm going to try to make them myself.
Does anyone have some good photos or scans of the inserts I need?
They are the “FRED’S CHOICE”, “BEDROCK WATER BUFFALOS”, and those of the target shells.
Greetings, and thank you very much!

Are there supposed to be rubber rings on the two posts in the center of the machine?

Quoted from Vincenzo:

Had my backbox decals printed this week. From a file I got on this thread. Thanks!
The cabinet has some wears. Some wood and paint work to be done before applying the decals.
Nothing to do with decals : the original legs of the Flintstones more look like bronze rather than gold, am I right?
Mine still has his legs, but they are a little rusty. So I ordered a set of gold legs. But they seem very shiny compared to the originals!
[quoted image]

I know this is an old thread although I was wondering if the file for the backbox decals are still available on this thread as I am not able to locate it. I am looking to replace the ones on my backbox so keen to get a copy of the file if it is still here.

Quick question - Anyone know where you can get an extra slingshot deflector? The game I brought in only came with one - Book says it's A-18971, but I'm coming up empty on searching for that part number. Any ideas?

I'm trying to decide to keep this game, and thought I'd give it a bit of love before I trade it. I really like the lay out, the toys, the above the flipper ramp things and the overall WUG. But the game doesn't call me to play it often... So I'm going to see if I can freshen it up some how.

Anyone know any info on these covers, circled in the picture? Stickers, 3d printed? With a bit more detail they could look real good. From a play video on youtube.

Anyone try Lighting flippers on this machine.

Anyone have a modded pinsound they've been tweaking on?

Thanks! Glenn

I put the stripey sticker on mine to make it more finished and less bland.

Your set include two plastic outlines. You can swap your metal outlines on plastic.

What's the most likely cause of the GI in the backbox lighting up but being very dim?

Quoted from ThatOneDude:

Bad connector or GI set to dim mode in the settings.

I have an issue where on occassion I get a ball stuck under the quary at the back left of the The Flintstones playfield. I am not sure what it is getting stuck on and I normally need to remove the glass and place something in from the side to dislodge the ball.

Has anyone else had the same issue or have an idea on what might be causing it.

IMG_2184 (resized).jpg
#1173 1 year ago

Yeah I had the same problem. About 5% of the balls going to the up kicker would get stuck. I removed a little metal ball guide that was positioned just above the up kicker on the pf. (Like the wire form ball guides sometimes under williams lower flippers). I believe I had to get the pf pulled forward resting on the supports
and needed to remove Dinos rubber body to see in there...

I'm out of town now, can try to get a pic when I return.

#1174 1 year ago
Quoted from Blackbeard:

Guys and gals: the bulb behind the Bowl R Rama sign above the bowling targets: what bulb goes in here? I can't seem to find this on the manual. I think it's a 906.
Anyone with some insight here?

Same question - unanswered. The light behind this sign and behind “Fred’s Choice C” - neither light up. GI, flasher, or …? Can’t find information on this anywhere.

Assuming they *should* light up, how do you go about figuring out what’s wrong?

Yes it's a flasher. Check the easy things first, burnt out bulb, loose wire, bad light socket. Use the test menu to your advantage.

Thanks for letting me know what the issue is. I still haven't got to it yet although will check next weekend to see if this also fixes my issue.

Finally found a flintstones in my area. Does need a little love though. With that being said. Does anyone have any spare plastics. I need both above the drops. Or has anyone tried the repros from ebay?(looks like they are made in Russia). Will be looking for a right ramp aswell.

Hi All - We've had our FS for over 8 years, without any issues and recently the audio is dropping. When I put it in test mode everything checkouts fine, however during gameplay there's no background music and some of the speech doesn't play. Any and all ideas are welcome.

Finally got it shopped out and mods added. Still need twp plastics though.(above both drop tragets) Don't really want to buy a whole set. Already have more money into this then it most likely worth. I am having a problem with the ball falling off the Apron when it's time to go bowling. I have adjusted it a little, seems to be better but I would like to turn on the ball save for it. Can't seem to find it in the settings. Any know what number it is? I am running L-5 for the rom.

A common issue, but has simple (albeit counterintuitive) solution - loosen the screws on the upper portion to allow the apron to rise and tilt more toward the back.

Ahh. Didn't think about that. Maybe it's to tight. I will adjusted it tonight. Thanks for the tip.

Hi Guys

Just thought I'd introduce myself in this thread

I'm Rick from Tasmania, Australia

Purchased my first pin just on 12 months ago, Roller Coaster Tycoon.....found this sit about a month ago and have just paid a deposit on a Flinstones....

Will be a good 3 weeks I reckon before it arrives as seller is just starting reconditioning and shopping it for me......can't wait for it to arrive as I've heard lots of good stories, this very thread is a good example

Have already ordered a couple light mods, I've ordered an under cab led strip in amber colour, as well as a light mod for the houses, it's going to be a race to see what arrives first, the mods or the pin.....just can't wait!

Anyhow, just thought I'd say hi, you probably here from me from time to time

I fixed the ball falling off with a custom cut piece of Lexan. Never falls off now!

2 little mods already done, lights for the houses and undercab leds......custom floor mat on its way

1st question, does the game have a 2 ball and a 3 ball multiball?......wondering if it is having trouble spitting out the 3rd ball.....not 100% sure yet....

So glad I bought this machine

Just had this part show up on the upper playfield a few inches down from the bowling balls, anyone know where it belongs?, I'd say I'm missing the little pin that holds it in now.....

Pretty sure that part of a mirco switch. Maybe the switch that detects if a ball is in the vuk?

#1191 11 months ago

Look for a little black microswitch the blade that has a blade missing, ball probably hit it and the blade has clipped off, the microswitch has 4 nipples it clips onto back ones or inner set.

#1192 11 months ago

Three multiball modes (Regular 3-ball multiball, Dino's Frenzy 2-ball multiball, and Bowl-o-Rama 3-ball multiball)
