Quoted from BioBa:Now that the translite and playfield is sorted with proper cartoon images I have to tackle this plastic now.[quoted image]
If any modern pinball company put out a plastic like that Pinside would eviscerate them...
Quoted from BioBa:After printing the file Pinstein so generously donated I found that it was not high enough in resolution and the lines were quite pixelated (you can't see it easily on the picture but when you blow it up to decal size it's very noticeable) . Unfortunately he did not have any higher res file. So I was forced to make my own design. Much higher resolution and very clear. It's the decal on the left. I also made some spare line guide decals.
PM me if you want any of the decals (old style, new design and guide pattern)

If anyone is interested in a German Playfield Protector I bought for a restore which I finished well before this arrived and as such has never been used, please let me know.
I don’t recall what I paid for it exactly with shipping but I think $150 shipped in the USA would be fair.
Curious if anyone else has this problem
When I get multi ball lit and have to shoot to get it
If I shoot the ball up thru the right lane the thru gate doesn’t open fast enough to let the ball in it bounces off then the gate opens
The gate opens up for the rest of the balls fine
It’s just like it’s not quick enough to open after the the switch is hit
Yes the switch is fine and working
I even adjusted it so it’s sensitive
How bout some posts of custom rule cards. I printed out 1 set but would love to see someone post a set of cartoon themed cards.

Yes that sounds great. Me too please.
Quoted from Tsskinne:I have an original translite if anyone is looking for one. $30 plus shipping or pick up at expo.
what condition is it in? any scratches you can see when it's lit?
Quoted from BioBa:Fits perfectly and lines are clear and defined.[quoted image][quoted image]
that's nice, no odd ball behaviors at slow speed?

No. No different to using Mylar.

yes but the edges to mylar normally aren't where these are

Did you just attach your new playfield sticker right to playfield with the sticky backing or did you put anything on top of it to secure it down with mylar?

2nd this question!
Just got one.

Straight on top of playfield. I made sure the playfield is wax/grease free before application.
If you want to be able to remove the decal later it might be a good idea to wax the playfield before application.

Very good thanks for the update on that. Can you please advise at any point down the road if you start to notice the decal starting to lift away and maybe how many games (approx) of course it lasted. Thx

It should never come off. No different to applying Mylar.
Has anyone found the magic settings for getting this game just right to eliminate the ball drain around the apron. I have mine perfectly level from left to right and yet 99% of the time from the right ramp the ball will fall off and go down trough. Since the game doesn't have a shooter lane bubble level i'm not sure if I have the pitch correct. Wondering if that could be the problem?
Quoted from BioBa:Installed my lane guide decals.
Looking good![quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
killer, you making these available for the rest of the class?

Just got mine this week. They look great and are thick, not a cheap sticker. Thanks again.

Got mine this week also. Good quality as well looking forward to getting them installed. Crazy this wasn't done directly from the factory cause it looks great installed.

Here you go.
https://pinside.com/pinball/market/shops/1026-bright-lights-pinball/02127-flintstones-out-lane-decal
Place the guides on the decal so that both fit. Cut the decal into two pieces - one for each guide. Remove backing and attach decal to guide. Use scalpel to cut arround the edges and arround the holes.
Use this sort of scalpel for best results.

decals or mirrored blades?
Quoted from seah2os:Check switch 76 Enter
It is the switch right off of the rock crusher. You need to put it into test mode. The bank of switches on the door where you adjust the volume. Click the right one and use the other two to toggle your choices.

I just bought a stip of lights from comet pinball. Get it in the 6v and it comes with an alligator clips and clip it to a gi bulb.
Hey guys!!
New guy to the forum, so much fun reading all the flintstones posts!
I finally have my own machine and I have already pimped it with LED's and new plastics.
Question. Is there a PDF-file with all the decals available? Or does anyone have any high-res photos?
I want to change the ramps, because they look horrible on my machine.
They come without decals or ramp guards so I will either have to print new ones or "transfer" the decals from the old ramps to the new ones.
Any tips?
Thanks in advance!!! I love my flintstones machine!
Not sure where your going to find the decals as pinball life has none and marco only has 1. Maybe your best bet is to put up a wanted ad for them. Sometimes peoe have them but don't do anything with them till they see someone requesting them.

You can typically heat gun the old ones off and then if still in good condition, use some 3M 467 double sided adhesive tape to add them back to your new ramps.
You will first need to clean the old adhesive off them using Goo-Gone and a soft rag and el ow grease
I've done it many times and most recently with my Jokerz center lift ramp. Before that I think the last one I did was Big Betty's Truck Stop
You can tell by looking at the decal if it has enough structural integrity to survive the transfer or not.
Start by removing the one decal that Marco has a replacement for. If that goes well ... move to the rest
You can search the forums for ramp decal transfers as they have been done many times
This link is fantastic for showing all the steps

I have some more detail on my blog as well on the most recent post "Pratical Jokerz" at https://thepinballloft.com
Almost forgot, scan them when you get them off and cleaned up. Never know if you might need to print them later
Congrats on your first machine! I love my Flintstones. Super fun game that's never leaving my collection
And ... welcome to Pinside

Man i wish! Would love to install one.

If someone is familiar with the Flintstones show there would be a goldmine of sound clips to use!
I had a guy request a Flintstones TV, but now that it's ready, I can't get ahold of him. If anyone else is interested, let me know.
This is the same price as my TSPP, wood cab, and black/gray TVs and comes loaded with your choice of either the original cartoon or highlights from the Goodman film.
$149 + shipping, but if you need the wpc driver board adapter, add $10 (requires 5v).

I've blown the SloBlo 3amp F116 two times in the last two weeks. It seems to have happened both times during a scoring frenzy of multiball, but that could be a coincidence. After it blows, the flippers go dead, dmd goes dark, and the machine continues to eject balls into the playfield. Replace the fuse and all is well. I have a good board from Dirty Harry that is the exact same board, and was thinking of swapping it out as a start to determining the issue. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Do you have a colordmd in this machine?

Read through this thread it sounds exactly like your symptoms.

I just joined the club, I picked up a machine with the cartoon decal and alt translite.
What is the preferred rom? I see L5 seems to be the latest but I watched a video of the 2017 Pinmasters tourney and that one was running a prototype rom just wondering if there was a reason for it.
I think im going to need to add some more GI to the upper area of the playfield, I'm getting some pretty serious glare from the translite.
Quoted from BioBa:I made a decal for the rock tumbler. It has a special surface to generate spin. It's $15 including postage worldwide.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Looks good.
