As the title suggest has any clever pinsider come up with a way to bypass the data east GI flashing on and off,
as well as inducing seizures, it's impossible to play in a dark room.
I wonder if it could be wired to bypass the relay to a power source and always be on like most williams/bally games?

a penny for your thoughts ?

I've been planning to look into something like this for my Lethal Weapon, but it's not at my house right now, so I haven't checked it out:

I'm pretty sure CN7 on the power supply board is the relay feed for the flashing. IIRC I unplugged it when I had my Jurassic Park and it eliminated the GI flashing. I just looked at the power supply schematic and that's all the wires on CN7 are for, it's a 3 pin plug on the right side of the power supply.

CN7 is the right connector. Unplugging it disables the GI relay. GI will be on constantly.

energi maestro for data east. There's a Pinsider who makes the mod . I have one on my GNR and checkpoint.

Oops. This is the same thing as I referenced above. Works great.

Unplug the relay. Works like a charm on my JP. I would eventually like to make it so just the back box is controlled.

I just put some LEDs in the GI of Checkpoint and then holy crap I couldn't see what was going on with all the flashing. I just unplugged CN7 and so far so good. Thanks for the tip!
