I just want to add a short length of led strip across the front underside of my Ghostbusters pro. I've done this easily on my other sterns using the spare molex at the front of the cab but GB doesn't have one. Is there a suitable connector to attach a simple mod like this? or a suitable point to tap off 12v?

Thanks

Yea but it's not fused. I'd run an inline fuse.

The new cabinet node board is also unfused, and expen$ive to replace. If it were me, I'd buy an independent 12VDC power supply like this, for $10-20:

If adding a separate 12v psu within the cab where would you power it from? I've had a little look inside GB today and they really haven't made it easy. Would it be safe to take it directly from the power switch?

I would just plug it into the accessory outlet at the PSU (in the head).

Thanks swampfire, I can see that now from the pinballlife products sparky linked, until now I didn't know there was an accessory outlet.

thanks all

Is the accessory outlet on all the time or only when game is on?

All the time - ah, yes, that would be a problem for LED strips.

Not if you use one of these. You put a 3 to 12 volt signal from the pinball machine on its input then it passes through AC from service outlet only when machine is on.
