In the short term I think people will hold onto their money, but this will all blow over in a month or so. Right now were in a very reactive "the sky is falling" state. As history would dictate, this will pass.

Quoted from 27dnast:Just the past few weeks have had major ramifications for service industry businesses... a lot financial damage and waves can happen in a matter of 4 weeks.
Not disagreeing or even arguing. Just choosing to remain optimistic.
Quoted from DCFAN:Hopefully the manufacturers that survive this realize that they must get their prices down closer to what they were about 7 years ago.
Why? They were selling fine at the prices of today.
Quoted from PinLen83:I am about to sell off...Reality is, these games are now effectively worthless.
If you have the kind of money to buy a non-essential EXPENSIVE TOY, & weather this storm, you'll do damn well next year. Until then, they are massive paperweights.
Got to say, I'm a bit stunned it happened this way. Not in a million years I'd have expected it. Panic selling will ensue...and apparently already has.
Ive always wanted a Maiden! Lemme know what you can do.
Disclaimer - I am in no way trying to argue one way or the other as to weather or not the right decision was made, just curious about a couple things.
Just curious to hear from business owners who were forced to close (or if anyone knows this answer really). Is anything being done (even if a drop in the bucket) to help with expenses? I certainly wouldnt think you could just be shut down without something being done, tax immunity during closure, etc. I just cant imagine being in your shoes. Ive never owned a business, but am very close to several who do (have not yet been closed) , and know it certainly is no walk in the park.
Does anyone know? Or is it all hung up in government currently?
Quoted from RWH:Prices will go down for the high-end pins and the low-end of pinball purchasing but I don't foresee any major changes as in companies going under or at least I'm praying none do.
On this note what a kick in the nuts to American Pinball. Your first games dont sell well despite having a ton of stuff in them, you refocus your energy and come up with Hot Wheels, plan to show it off at TPF, and then the world comes to a halt. Talk about salt in the wounds.
Quoted from pipes:It's so crazy to hear how worried some people are about financial survival and being able to provide for their families.....and then there's this guy.
Is what it is, I with more of us were in the position to do this . Me personally, im thankful to still have a job and be healthy, but if you have the means to buy every pinball machine in history, hell yeah! Just invite me over when its safe to move again.
