    Quoted from mzhulk:

Most people who own pinball machines have money, if you need to sell than you couldn't afford them in the first place.

Who are you to tell anyone that they shouldn't own a pinball machine or even 10 pinball machines? Sometimes people really love something and they save like crazy so they can get it. Should they be buying games if they have to scratch and claw like that to get the money up? Maybe not but that's their business and nobody elses. Lots of people fall on hard times and have to sell their prized possessions.

My daughter was born in '98, so does that make her generation Z? She had no problem driving 50 miles to hang out with her old man last night even though she had to get up at 6 AM to be at her job refurbishing medical equipment. That and straight As four years straight in college.

I think she pretty well represents that generation.

    Quoted from o-din:

I am a big fan of Generation Z. They don't have a stick up their ass.

Exactly. These people who are complaining about them being selfish all the while being selfish. I’m hoping I get it so i won’t have to waste anymore time hearing how the world is going to end. Last time I checked, old Tom Hanks and his wife got it and are free now. What a great feeling knowing you got past it and can move on

    Quoted from Utesichiban:

I hope this isn't true but it doesn't surprise me. Too many of these kids could care less about anyone but themselves and self gratification.

My apologies, this is not meant as criticism of what you are saying, I agree, I just wanted to share
the first time we have written this:

The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households.

I've seen it with every generation except the last two. They are too busy trying to figure out how they are going to make it in this world we have left them.

All millenials are not bad and some are actually quite good but a big majority of them are losers.

The problem is you are looking thru the filter of 'it doesn't seem that bad'. What if it was? Would 2-3 million people dying be worth your inconvenience? If this was a truly indiscriminate killer virus, we'd already be dead because of the attitudes of denial and yes, selfishness. The economy wouldn't even be a blip on the radar of worries.

    Quoted from Who-Dey:

I think they are trying to do the best they can with the cards dealt while the last two generations control all the money and everything else.

Hey guys, did it collapse yet?

Survival of the fittest. And that also applies to all the vulnerable old farts who spent all this time pissing on the earth, over politics, etc and after the obvious many warning and did nothing to build a game plan should this happen

So if the laws of nature and survival takes them away for this, it was their own undoing and they brought it upon them self’s

So Gen Z’rs - keep the party going like it’s 2099!

I just scored a HUO JJPotC for $200 AND they are delivering it to my house for free. I'd say yes.

Yea don't get me wrong, I'm a late model gen x'er, so I'm not that old. I remember being young, and I would probably think the same thing. But I also was out on my own right after graduation and worked for what I have with no handouts. Life may be hard, but it isn't impossible. People just want the easy path.

    #514 4 years ago

go play your pinball machines , don't fret over this passage of time ...or enjoy the banter on pinside... choices

    #515 4 years ago

May the last generations that don't complain and shares with the next ones be the ones to survive.

NimblePin back from his hiatus! What generation is a 4 year old today?

The F.U. Generation, or so I’m told...

If you think kids shouldn’t party at a beach during spring break, then you could be 21 and you’re too old

So if you think that way, yes, you're too old

    Quoted from NimblePin:

The F.U. Generation, or so I’m told...

And I was sure that was mine.

    #522 4 years ago

If they really wanted them to get inside, they'd just go onto the beach and wave a gun around.

If China were in charge here, we'd be in about 10X better shape, and even the propaganda would make more sense.

Nothing is keeping you from emigrating to the Communist Country of your dreams.

    #524 4 years ago

Hey Nimble, if you get bored you can come over and play my recently acquired HOU Comet and High Roller Casino and get some tacos if they are still serving them. I killed all the viruses here last night.

    #525 4 years ago
    Quoted from Zablon:

Man, for a Gen-X’er you sure sound like you have a stick up your ass!

Nothing is keeping you from emigrating to the Communist Country of your dreams.

I don't want to move and I don't want to be a communist.

I just want competent leadership here during a crisis instead of lies and used car salesman bullshit.

Yeah I know. Probably better off buying a lotto ticket.

Is the lottery still open for business?

Sean Payton: another victim of the virus/media hoax. Starting to think no NFL this year either.

They are a proud generation. As long as we never forget the 1980s.

The 80's can suck it. I much preferred the mid 90's to about 2005. You know, when the world actually caught up with us nerds.

    #531 4 years ago

Nimble is Gen-X, but he is one of the cool ones.

Although he fondly remembers the 80s, he has had no problem taking in all the cool culture that has happened since then and is constantly trying every new taco stand as they open up.

    Laughter is the best medicine!
    Well,

You're a class act dude and a such a great citizen of this country. You have really showed your true colors. I bet your parents are really proud of you.

    #538 4 years ago

This thread really didn't need more than the initial 15 or so posts...

    #539 4 years ago

So Nimble announced he is being grubhub with tacos today, I guess I should get ready.

    We do have competent leadership.

    #543 4 years ago

    But better late than never.

What we need now is a complete left turn like that asteroid that is supposed to fly by us in a few weeks.

a lot of people are home now with extra time on their hands , maybe some elevated anxiety mixed in . although some may be inappropriate, it'll be ok in the long run

Wow, you've accomplished what I thought was the unaccomplishable. I currently almost wish one specific person on this earth would get Covid-19. It's "almost" because the person is so stupid that they don't know what Covid-19 is or does. Wow!
