If you want to blame someone, blame stern. By making a limited edition version they are encouraging flipping. Is the LE actually worth more than the Premium based on the game or based on scarcity? If they made as many of that version as people would buy would it still command a higher price than the Premium?
People snatch them up because they're "rare" and people supposedly pay more than they cost new to get one if they couldn't get one for the same reason.
It's totally different than concert tickets or whatever because concerts have a real limit to how many people can sit in the front row, but Stern could crank out thousands of whatever version they want.
