Heck, I still use a stool, bad knees, hips, and about every other joint you can't smoke. Guess I shouldn't be playing either.

My kid has been playing since he was about two. At around 2.5 he could reach both buttons. At 3.5 he is just now learning not to chimp. I see others whose kids pick it up so much earlier. My kid isn't a pin genius, lol. He doesn't set the 4 player any more. When he was in that phase, I took out the start button bulbs and he stopped pressing the button.

5 year olds aren't too bad. You can start to explain things and they understand. 2 year olds are just too young. Its different if they're my kids something. But if my wife or daughter is babysitting, releasing toddlers into the game room to wreak havoc makes me cringe.

Quoted from spideynhb:give em a chance, kids love pinball. the reality of a physical game is something different for their brains. Try it with a young teen (13-15) they'll love it, especially the girls!

This is true! My son (18) had a pinball tournament for his birthday party. About 10 guys and 10 girls. Most of which had never touched a real pinball machine. This girls loved it and did really well. Some of the guys were afraid to play them for fear of an arse kicking and then the word spreading around school I guess. LOL

Kid don't need to know the rule set they just need to have fun I have had non pinhead adults over that did not want a long explanation of the rules they just want to have fun. Remember people most people do not take pinball serious.
