Poker is tied with pinball as my primary pursuit. Nice to have one hobby pay for the other. I won't bore anyone here with details.

Microbrews. I don't drink a lot, but I like to try a wide variety of interesting craft beers. At any given time there are a couple dozen to choose from in the fridge, and some overflow and/or rare stuff in the "cellar," aka spare bedroom closet.

Sneakers. I wouldn't say I'm a sneaker collector, because that implies hoarding rare unworn kicks, chasing limited releases (sound familiar?), and just general douchebaggery. I wear all of my shoes.

Screen printed posters (concerts, movies, and unlicensed art prints). Unfortunately, the limited edition speculator market bullcrap is central to this hobby too. I don't care what's rare and/or valuable; I frame & hang stuff that looks good to me.

Do you have the first series? I still have all my Wackys and Odd Rods that I bought with my paper route money. Nice!

I have all the Wackys series 1 thru 15 and about half of the 16th series which is the most valuable.

Those Odd Rod cards are cool!

My old primary hobby was motorbikes. Still have other hobbies but my primary is pinball. The wife and I are traveling more. You might say I'd sell some pins to finance travel ... but fortunately I don't need to at this point.

Used to really be into cars. Loved fixing them up. but after buying a home, priorties changes and just wanted something fun that I never had to work on. Bought a CTS-V. Love it! but I no longer race, autoX, upgrade, or any of that other stuff... just drive it.

Hobbies now.. probably in order are:

    1.) Golf
    2.) Cooking
3.) Home Improvements (my wife might not agree with this one as I took the best room in the house and turned it into a game room)
    4.) Pinball
5.) Keeping up with all my sports teams. (Cinci Reds, Cinci Bengals, Kentucky Basketball, F1, fantasy football)
6.) Music: Had a whole room dedicated to my photography and music. 2 accoustic guitars, 1 classic, 1 electric, piano, drums, recording equipment, vinal player and collection) Room was disassembeled for higher ranking pinball at this point in my life, more people enjoy it and can all participate. Guitars are still there though.
    7.) Gardening

It becomes an addiction. Once I joined a country club it also adds an additional need to play more so you get your moneys worth.

I collect 80's toys, mostly Transformers.

I must confess...Pinball is my second love. Record collecting has and always will be the first when it comes to hobbies. I have around 10,000 pieces of vinyl. Mostly left-of-center, underground stuff from the 70's and 80's. I have collected vintage guitars and Italian motor scooters in the past...not so much, anymore

Nice! I neglected to mention in my post that I'm also something of a vinyl snob, but not in that large a quantity. I'm into anything from '70s disco & power pop to '80s new wave, synthpop & metal, '90s alternative, post-2k indie pop, electro, Italo disco. Love having a vintage jukebox full of modern 7" singles.

    #137 10 years ago

I used to be really into European cars (03 GTI 20th Anniversary, 02 Audi TT) used to auto-X, go to the track etc.) but that was a big money suck when I got totaled by a drunk on the highway, so I gave it up.

My first love will always be aquarium fish (Freshwater, generally South American fish, plants etc). I've got about 1100 gallons of water in the basement. Breeding/ raising dwarf cichlids, tetras, catfsh....)

Pinball...I play several times a week at the local pinball bar, we do a league a few times a year as well.

Video games. My brother and I are selling all of our arcades for more pinballs. I have NES (top loader and regular) Genesis, SNES, 3D0, 64, Dreamcast, PS2, 360, Gamecube and a ton of games to go with them all.

I think, for me, pinball is more of an addiction than it is a hobby...Hell, I gave up drinking, but still go to the pinball bar several times a week. Gets me a lot more credits, that's for sure!

We hope to have "Pins and Vids Episode V: Crazy Cats Strike Back" ready for Pinball Expo. We'll have interviews with Python Anghelo and Mike Pacak and the usual surprises.

I'm also trying to compile the video that they take at Pinball Expo seminars into something in a watchable time format. I have 2012 and 2011 to go through - about 25 hrs. raw footage for each year! If I can get a nice 2 hour video out of each year I'd be real happy. Huge job!

Thanks! If a hobby is something you really enjoy and spend a lot of time doing, then being a family man is the greatest 'hobby' I can think of. Pinball is simply one more avenue to enjoy my ultimate 'hobby' with.

Yeah, my business keeps me really busy too. If I don't work out at lunch (which I try to block my time around) it simply doesn't happen. Early mornings I guess would work but I hate working out first thing. I'd rather have some coffee and some quiet time to myself in the AM's.
