So I just picked up a doctor who and it has the motorized Dalek topper. It looks to be factory as there is zero glue residue or cuts where the Dalek would've been modified to install an after market kit.

The serial number is 20006 060061. Is there any way to definitively tell?

I have an early one. Your topper looks like mine from what I see from your pictures. They have different playfields as well. The black color goes farther up than the regular production bluer version.
I can post a picture of mine if you need to compare to yours or the ipdb pictures.

I'd appreciate that. Do you know what your serial # is?

Playfield pictures. I don't really see a difference from what is on IPDB.

yes that has the darker blue up top and the black reaches a little farther up the playfield. That is an early game for sure. Blow up the ipdb picture and you can really see the difference. And I will check my serial..

look at the post by the repair targets. The black is right there. Now look at ipdb and you will see what I mean.

Thanks. I definitely see what you're talking about now. That picture is kind of blurry I'm going to investigate further tonight.

The oldest one recoded on the IPSND is 20006060031 so I'm thinking it's early production.

Being so old I think you should sell it to me cheap.

You can take it up with Kelly. I was told this one is a keeper.
