That isn't always a good thing. When the code is so deep that most people will never see it, and its coupled with a pretty uninspired layout and nothing for the casual player other than a theme, it's not going to draw.
The beauty of the B/W games, and why they stay on top 25+ years after being released is that there's enough there for replayability, coupled with a game that's fun to play. I don't think I've truly had *fun* with a Stern game since TSSP.
